Using wooden packaging will reduce your carbon
footprint
Wood is a naturally renewable material
that is easy and efficient to convert into pallets. Growing trees
convert more CO2 into oxygen and the vast majority of pallet timber is
provided from renewable forests, therefore using 1 cubic metre of wood
will remove nearly 1 tonne of carbon monoxide from the atmosphere.
Global Acceptance ISPM15 is an
international standard for wooden packaging which is now accepted by over
50 countries - see our Global Guide for details.
Hygiene Pine and Spruce have a natural antibacterial
effect providing better hygiene protection than plastic or steel.
Low fire hazard Plastic pallets are a major fire
hazard even when storing inert goods - see the videos [Ignition
Test] and [Pallet Stack Fire] sponsored by the Association of British Insurers.
