Why wooden pallets and packaging?

Our campaign aims to inform and educate users of timber pallets and packaging about the environmental and economic benefits of our products and their importance to the circular economy.

The materials for timber pallets and packaging is sourced from sustainably managed forests and requires far less energy to produce than other materials.

More than 20 million cubics metres of sustainable wood is used every year in the manufacture of packagin and pallets in Europe.

As demand for wooden products increases, more forests are planted.

Wood is the most widely used material for manufacturing pallets.

A typical wooden pallet contains approximately 27.5kg of absorbed CO2. It continues to store the carbon when reused and until the end of its useful life when it can be recyled.

The woodworking industry is a major employer providing jobs for more than three million people across the UK and the European Union.
